Bend has some of the most beautiful biking trails in the U.S. On Monday, we rented two bikes and headed out to the Sunriver Resort. We rode for over four hours through the pine forests, vacations homes, and golden open fields that reminded Jenny of the Miyazaki animations she grew up watching.

Aside from the outdoor activities, Oregon is also known for its vibrant and growing number of microbreweries. We visited Immersion Brewing and Cruz Fermentation Experiment, and ordered a flight of beers at each place. In the end, Immersion was the winner (in our humble opinion).

The next day we said goodbye to Bend and headed to Corvallis, home of Oregon State university where Drew went to college for a few years.
We walked around the campus, visited Drew’s freshman dorm, checked out the old wrestling room where he used to practice, and even ate at one of his favorite local joints from back in the day. After spending a few hours in Corvallis we got back on the road and headed to Portland, where we will be staying through Saturday.
